Jury Duty: The End

So, I finished my Jury Duty, with an extra day added on.

It wasn't actually that bad, I mean, sure, there was a lot of waiting around, but with a couple of other people to talk to, and a pack of cards, the time flew by. Even when you get onto a case, the time sort of flies by.

So, I'm going to drop a couple of tips for anyone else who finds themselves being summoned for Jury Duty -
1) Have something to do
You will be waiting around, alot. A book, pack of cards, handheld console, phone. Anything so your not bored
2) Go out for lunch:
We had a cafe attached to the jury reception, but it was very expensive, even with £5.71 loaded onto our cards every day, it didnt roll over and the cafe was overpriced. Best of all, even if you don't use that money on your card, you can claim it anyway.
3) Make Friends:
Same as number 1, its something to do.
4) DON'T volunteer to be foreperson of the jury:
As foreperson, not only do you have to stand up infront of the court to give the verdict, which in itself is a bit of a clusterfuck if you don't have a unanimous verdict, but you have to moderate the discussions in the deliberation room.
5) Listen to the announcements:
Stop everything and listen, your name could be called up, and you get a list of all the cases going that day.
6) Don't think its over for that day:
There is a list called the 'Floating List' these are cases that haven't been assigned to a court room, even if the main cases are done for the day, its possible you will be called up for one of them.
7) Take some food:
If you know your going to be in the deliberation room over lunch, take something to eat as its up to the judge if your allowed out for lunch or not, they will take a sandwich order, but its from the overpriced cafe and comes off your card.
8) Keep any bus or train tickets:
You can claim your travel expenses back, get a weekly ticket and claim it back, they might ask for a copy of it, but don't worry about it.
9) Look interested, take notes and always look at the evidence:
When you do finally get onto a case, look like your interested, take notes and look at the evidence, it will help later in the deliberation room.
10) Don't be late:
Try and get there 5 minutes early, both at the start of the day and after lunch, if your late for your case, there is a 90% chance you will be fined in contempt.

Those tips should get you through your 10 days jury service. If you have any of your own, drop them in the comments, I would love to know how you got through it.

Jury Duty: Day 1

WARNING: This won't be much of a blog post, I am not describing anything about cases I have or have not been assigned to, or anything that could cost me £1000 or a short stay in the cells for Contempt of Court. This will also be the last post about it until I have ended.

So, today was day 1 of my Jury Service and it was a bit boring, sat on my backside waiting to be called.

That's the day in a nutshell. I could describe the lead up to going to the waiting room, I assume its the same for all courts, so anyone who has done jury service will know all about it, and those who haven't will know what to expect on there first day.

Yeah, I will describe it lol

So, after you go through security, you go into a small room where you basically register. Once everyone is registered, your taken to what's called the "Jury Reception", this is where you will spend all your time when on Jury Service, including your lunch if you so choose.

After we waited a bit more, we where taken into an empty court room, this had 2 reasons, 1) To show us what one looks like in reality, 2) Show us a dvd and to go through all the legalities, rights and other stuff you need to know during your service. They actually mention about Social Networks (though there sheet is very out of date as it mentions My Space LOL), they tell you not to talk about cases on it. They go through how to claim your expenses too and there was a pleasant surprise; we get a card, loaded with £5.71 for our lunch in the cafe in the court, whatever you don't spend at the end of the fortnight - YOU CAN CLAIM, so, I'll be coming out with £57.10 at the end of the fortnight, just from not eating at the cafe, £20ish of that will be going to my mum, as she is subbing me lunch money for the fortnight.

I could be braking the 'no telling' rule thingy with this blog post and some tweets, but its not like I'm going into any detail of cases, and never will do. Just giving a brief overview of my first experience with Jury Service.

And that's all your getting =)

Oh Nintendo Europe: Why do you Kick Arse Right Now!

After 5 months, countless emails and 1 phone call... I finally have The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D Soundtrack =D =D =D

It started last week when I got an email from Nintendo saying that, although I was entitled to the OST, I hadn't placed the order, but they guy who send the email was in a position to send me one. I think its because I sent a copy of the email I received confirming the order, but right now, I don't care because I have the Soundtrack =D

So, I would like to thank the person who sent the email (they didn't put there name on) and Jeff on the phone for there help. Though, I still think they need to fix there email support system, Its like there is one guy doing it.

MMM A Happy Beaver Is A Happy Beaver =P

Thursday 3 November 2011

Oh Nintendo Europe: Why do you suck right now?

How many times can you email such a big company like Nintendo before getting pissed off with them? Because I have sent 5 with only 1 getting an auto response and I'm seriously getting pissed off now.

Its been 6 months, Six Months, since The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D came out, 6 Months since I put the order in for the Soundtrack you got with it and yet, I still haven't received it. I know your thinking I'm an idiot for chasing this for so long, but I'm a Zelda fanboy and a Collector, 2 types of people you don't mess with lol.

I think its gotten to the point where I phone them, and get some information out of them that way, though if they tell me "No, you cant have the soundtrack" I will not be happy, they sent me the email telling me its on its way, twice, and that email could be counted as confirmation of the order, so they should send me it, without any problems.

I'll phone tomorrow, even though I hate phones, sometimes you have to face your fear to get somewhere, I'll update this post with what happens.

JHP The Clusterfuck

So, I'v been with JHP for.... God know how long and I was meant to leave at least a month ago, but with all the staffing problems they had, it turned into a clusterfucking piss take.

Last week, I went to quit the course but myself and the tutor made a deal - Get the Business Admin qualification within 2 weeks, today, that didnt exactly go to plan.

For some reason, we had another tutor, mixed with another group and done something we had done 3 times while there, with 3 different people, luckily, the manager of the centre was observing the tutor we had, so I asked to have a word with her, about quitting again, I was pissed.

The manager managed to talk me out of quitting again, along with another guy in the same group as me, gonna sort it so that were doing what we are there to do, and if we arnt, to phone us not to come in . If that works or not, is another matter, but if the same thing happens, I'm officially quitting, they have had 2 chances all ready, there not getting a 3rd.

This post might no make much sense when reading it, but then again, nether does what's been happening lol

Game Pickup 18/10/11

This is just a tiny show off post:
I just picked up Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, complete for £38 =)
Also picked up Gran Turismo 3 to replace a lost copy for £2

£40 for both of them, traded in 4 xbox360 games that I have only played once and they forgot about as well as £5 cash - 100% worth it in my opinion, because I basically got 4 games for 4 games =P and one of them is probably one of the rarest Playstation 2 games out there.

I'm a happy Beaver =P

Update [20 Minutes Later] - I just went to play MGS3 Disk 2, the one with the Original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 for MSX on it. The disk is cracked in half at one side, the guy checked the disks and didn't say anything and its not something you can really see. Will have to take it back shortly. =(

Update [3:45pm] - Just got back from returning Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, since it was a trade in, they gave store credit, £38 worth, so I replaced MGS3:S with:
Final Fantasy XII - Playstation 2, £5
Timesplitters - Playstation 2, 80p
Project Eden - Playstation 2, 80p
Metroid Prime - Game Cube, £5
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes - Game Cune, £8

Still have £18.40 credit left, will probably spend that soon as it expires on the 25th of October 3011, and no, that isn't a typo lol

Young Unemployed

Take your mind back, back to 2003/2004 and the time when the Government gave more help to those over 25 get back into work than it did 18-24 year old. Now bring your mind back to 2011, where the government is giving more help to the 18-24 year olds get back to work than the over 25s....

This pisses me off - When I younger than 24, I got no help from the Job Centre to get into work, no matter how hard I tried, I got nothing, then as soon as I hit 25, its announced that there going to be helping the 18-24 years old more.

Why is it that I'm always on the edge of these schemes, so I'm getting the raw end of the deal. If the government gave equal attention to everyone, and not just one age group, this country would be a lot better off than it is now. Not that it helps, not many jobs in my neck of the woods, especially now with councils having to make mega cuts, which means less public service jobs, something the North East has the most people employed in.

I'm not going to get into a Labour vs ConDem (Conservatives and Liberal Democrats) debate here. Lets just say, if you were born in 1984 (like me) or the beginning of 1985, regardless who is in charge, you have always gotten the short end of the deal, both in Education and Employment - Or at least that's how its been for me in my 26 years on this earth.

Jury Duty

They say there are 2 certainties in life, Death and Taxes. They really need to change that - Death, Taxes and Jury Duty.

It really suck, I've been selected, not that much notice either, just over a month for a 28th November start and I know next to fuck all. I mean, I know 3 people who have done it, one of them had it deferred because he was serving in the Armed Forces and close to being deployed and the other 2 have told me things, but it still doesn't help. Thing is, everyone is acting like its one of the best things to happen, I just don't see it.

Anyway, the form is filled in and ready to send tomorrow. I might as well get the bloody thing over and done with, could get something juicy or I could be sat around reading, playing 3DS or playing cards.

I guess its something to blog about, not during, I have twitter for that, but something fun to put in here.

Ah well.

Hey Nintendo! Where's my CD? [Update: 04/10/11]

Really, Nintendo, where is my Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D Soundtrack?

I bought The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D on release, well, a pre-order, which is the same thing. I registered it with Club Nintendo the same day I got it, I got court up in the glitch with the website so waited till there was another way to order it... Which I did, I even got the Email.

So, Nintendo Europe, where is my CD? You said it would take up to 8 weeks, its been longer than that, I have sent you 2 emails asking for information, which you haven't replied to. I would sent a tweet to your twitter, but Nintendo Europe, you don't have a twitter account. What else can I do?

I like you Nintendo, I really do, hell, I bought a 3DS on Day 1 and I have pre-orderd the Limited Edition Skyward Sword - I'm a Zelda Fanboy and you are depriving me of my Zelda Music Nintendo Europe.

I would send another email, but would you read it? Would you read this? Would Nintendo of America read it if I sent it to there twitter? Will I ever get the soundtrack?

Lets see, shall we.

Update: 30/09/11 - So I tried to email Nintendo Europe again, this time using there website contact form, its just a shame that THERE WEBSITE IS SHIT! The submit button brings up a 403 Forbidden error. That doesn't help! I'll have to try again on Monday afternoon, I will get this Soundtrack!

Update: 03/10/11 - Tried again, hoping they had fixed the contact form. They haven't... Doubt they even know its borked. So I have sent and email to the webmaster using the address on the 403 page and will try again later or tomorrow. If its not sorted by then, I might end up phoning them - That should be fun.

Update: 04/10/11 - Send an email to the other email address, got a bit closer to an answer because I got an auto-response. Admittedly that could mean one of 2 things, 1) The auto response is fobbing people off thinking they will get a reply or 2) They actually read the emails. Here is hoping they actually read the dam thing.

CoH Charity Marathon 2011: A[nother] Stupid Idea

I know, all the CoH Marathon stuff goes on Pure Boredom now, but this isn't in anyway the plan for the marathon...yet. You see, I have had, a very very stupid idea...

Recently, there have been a lot of places doing 24 hour gaming marathons for charity on various different games that is has made it sort of an everyday thing. And I want the Real World Hero marathon to stand out, there is only one way to do that....

Stream and Play City of Heroes for 48 Hours!

Yes, you read that right, 48 Hours - 2 Days, 2880 Minutes, 172,800 Seconds!

The way I see it is - Anything is possible, but could mine and Ed's body's handle it, could we realistic stay away and play a game for, what would actually be longer than 48 Hours. Could the computer handle City of Heroes (not in Ultra Mode this time), the streaming software and the camera at the same time for 2 days.

Something like this would take a hell of a lot more planning than last year and a hell of a lot more support needed.

But yeah, thought I would post this, if just to get opinions (getting told I'm an idiot lol) - The things I do... lol

Windows 8 Dev Preview: First Impressions

Well, the Windows 8 Dev Preview has been out for a few days, I have been trying to install it for a few days in VirtualBox and it was constantly failing - Not Windows 8 fault, hardware visualisation wasn't on, but that's a different story.

So, these are my first impressions of Windows 8 Developer Preview. The impressions of a normal Windows User and not a Dev or a real Power User.

Installation:
It took about 15 minutes for a clean install on VirtualBox, its exactly the same as the Windows 7 install.

Login Screen:
Oh boy, this is where it all changes, I'm not sure if it was set up for a tablet, but before I could even type my password, I had to flick up a screen with the date and time on it, very annoying. After you flick that up, you come to the login screen proper.
Couple of differences, your picture is bigger and the input for your password is in the top right corner, that's about it.

Desktop:
The desktop is exactly the same, except the start button is square and gray.

Start Menu:
Oh. My. God! I'm hating it all ready! If you have seen the Windows Phone 7 UI you will know all about it, I haven't used Windows Phone 7 so I cant really compare - But the Metro interface isn't right for a Desktop Operating System. Your programes are right at the back of the menu, in tiny 200x200ish squares where as anything Microsoft are at the front and various different sizes.
I really hope you can change this in its final release.

Internet Explorer:
Take what you know about browsers now, and throw it all in the bin! The UI is very minimal and at the bottom of the screen. Its usable, but then comes another problem...

Software:
You Cannot Close Software... Really, there is no X button in the top right corner like we are all used to, unless you use the windows button on your keyboard, I didn't try it, because I just though of it lol, but throw everything you know about windows in windows, really. Its going to get really annoying, really fast.

So, that's my first impressions of a quick go of Windows 8 before Doctor Who. I'll power it up again tomorrow and update this post with more detail and possibly some screenshots. I just hope you can change it to look like windows 7.

Game Pickup's 15/09/11

Picked up some games today, well 5 PS2 games for £10 (or £3 each), good considering what I got :P

Resident Evil 4 Steel Tin Edition - Replacement for a lost copy
Final Fantasy X2 - A Platinum Copy, but cant complain
Project Zero 2 - This goes for about £20-£30 on eBay
The Godfarther Limited Edition - Never played it, never seen the films, so yeah lol
Timesplitters 2 - Played the first one, cant remember anything from it :P

Erm... That is all lol

Did I Forget the Past?

It suck to bring up the past, even more so when the past your bringing up is something bad, back in April I made 2 posts here, both on the sad side, but its time to forget them, because...

I'm Back Baby! That's right, say goodbye to my life because I'm back in Second Life!

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been exchanging emails and actually logged on after over a year to speak to the person I shall not name to protect our privacy and she asked me to come back, not just to hang around, but to be a proper member of the group again!

Its long, complicated and a bit personal as to the circumstance as to my going back (and leaving), but starting either tonight or tomorrow, I'm officially back!

Still a bit nervous about it all, a lot has changed, but a lot has stayed the same, but everyone knows I'm going to need some time to get back into the swing of things, I am after all, a noob again.

And on another, yet related note: Yahoo email officially sucks! It turns out that not only did it take 2 months for the first email to start this chain of events to come, it turns out that she sent me an email at Christmas - AND I DIDN'T GET IT!!!! So I scrapped the Yahoo address and moved everything over to Gmail with a redundant fail safe to make sure I get the emails (Its set up with forwarding to my main address and both POP3 and IMAP, so I get the mail 3 times lol).

So yeah, bye bye life :P

Tales of Cleaning BigBertha

For some reason, I always put off cleaning the computer. Its lazyness, having to take it downstairs, cleaning off the table, its annoying.

Well, today, I cleaned the computer, with some compressed air to give it a good deep clean and on my was it dusty! The majority of it came from the massive case fan and under the hard drive mount thingy.

There was also a part missing - I have never been able to get the cover for the motherboard on, but I managed it today, so there's one hole covered, just got to cover the unused PCIe slots. I'm a bit pissed too, there is no room for proper cable management, luckily all the cables where out the way of anything that needs air flow, mebbies I should have spend a little extra with the PSU and got a moulder one, oh well lol.

Of course you need at least one screw up when doing something like this, I wired the case fan wrong, well, not wrong exactly, I just forgot to connect it to the PSU, one good thing came out of it though, there is another set of LEDs on the case, a symbol on the front, looks like /\+, I'm guessing its the brand of the case, its never been on before, but it is now, nifty lol.

Project: Genesis

So, I have been working for the past few days on something I'm calling Project Genesis, or at least that's what I'm calling it in my head. What is the mysterious project I hear no one asking, well...

I am relaunching Syphernet.com - The hub to where all my projects are linked, the original project, my first ever domain and my 2nd attempt at a network style site (first ever attempt was on GeoCities at school).

The site itself is there, I decided to use Word Press and the Graphene Theme, just like Pure Boredom and The Avanta Files are using. Its a lot easier to manage and the Theme is a bloody good bit of kit (if you use wordpress, I highly suggest checking it out Here).

So long story short, Project: Genesis is the ReBirth of Syphernet.com, just have 5 more pages to fill in with info and its ready to go.

Sunday 21 August 2011

The Format

Well, I bit the bullet and finally formatted the PC, something I have been meaning to do for.... a good couple of months - And this wasn't a re-install over the old copy of Windows 7, this was a full on, wipe everything install of Windows 7.

I think I'm also the only person in the world who actually enjoys doing it, it don't take too long and as long as you know where your back-ups are, it wont take too long to get everything reinstalled. Took me about 4 hours to do my main box to how I like it and with what need to be on there - Was putting off doing the iPhone though, last time I formatted it took ages to set it not to delete all my apps... but it was surprisingly easy.

But yeah, I have that fresh Windows smell again, and I love it!

Thursday 18 August 2011

No Posts?

Yeah, there has been no posts in a while, nothing much has happened, except for what happened with Avanta, but that was posted on the Avanta Files blog, that's what its for lol.

But yeah, nothing much blog worthy has happened - Looks like I might have to have a rant on something, I have something, I'll see lol

Wednesday 3 August 2011

Atari 2600

I finally have a Atari 2600 :D its only a Jr but no matter, its an Atari 2600 :P

I picked it up from Chips for £40 with 15 games, so I think I got a bit of a bargain there, unfortunately, there is no official Joystick with it, there sort of easy to pick up on ebay, just depends on how much your willing to pay and what condition your willing to accept it in.

The games I got are:
Yar's Revenge
Defender
Defender 2
Jungle Hunt
Racqetball
Centipede
Cosmic Ark
Qbert
Crystal Castles
Kangaroo
Stampede
Sky Junks
Sprint Master
Space Invaders
Warlords

I am Happy, naturally :P

The Avanta Files - Follow Up

So, I have started 'The Avanta Files' blog and forums and as far as I can tell, except for 2 things - Its finished and ready to go live - But I am not making it live just yet, 7th of August for that, the day before I start Avanta for real.

Hopefully I will have the main thing on the to-do list done, the other isn't that important, just aesthetics, but everything else is ready to go.

Thats all, just an update for a project I am working on :)

Monday 18 July 2011

Operation: Penetrate Avanta

I got into the Avanta building, I wasn't happy. Apparently they have been sending letters, but I still never got anything, they say they have sent 'failure to attend notices', again, not got them - So obviously they are trying to blame me for this whole shit storm - No!

The branch tried to fob me off to the call centre, all they could do was re-arrange the appointment (8th August at 1pm) and put a note on the system, when I go down on the 8th, before they even get a chance to start the interview/session whatever they do, I will be telling them again about this whole thing and have all the black marks taken off the system, because its not my fault, it never has been my fault, they fucked up and they will pay the price.

Also, I have a update on 'The Avanta Files' blog - I'm going to be working on it not long after this post, I'll be building it on Syphernet because I want some forums as well as a blog for others to post there stories (if it gets out there), I'll backlog these posts too.

Sunday 17 July 2011

The Avanta Files?

So, I had a idea when taking Spike for a walk last night - A totally separate blog for all the Back to Work stuff called 'The Avanta Files'.

It wont just be for me to post my story's about them and it wont be just for Avanta but the other place (Ingnius or something like that), I would set it up using word-press or a word-press download on Syphernet and a small forum for others to post.

If its gonna happen, I have to sort out getting into the building first, that should happen tomorrow.

So, the question is:
Should I keep all my Back to Work Program posts here or keep this blog for rants, games and other random stuff?

Avanta, the place of non-exsistance - Part 2

I know where Avanta are based, only took 2 weeks and they don't advertise themselves very well - Hey, not my fault - Looks like I'm the one going to them. Thing is, still have no idea how to get to them, the dole's advice... Go into the cafe below and ask them - What the Fuck tbh...

Should be fun, formulated a plan in my head, not like it will go to plan, but a plan none the less.

I'll get back to you all on what happens there.

In other, related news - The dole gave me wrong info again, I was told I don't have to take any sort of job log with me to sign, but I do, guy before me didn't, but I did - And so it starts all over again.

Friday 1 July 2011

Avanta, the place of non-exsistance [Updated 04/07/11]

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So, I'm meant to start this Back to Work thing today, got to be at Avanta for 1pm. There is just one small problem...
I don't have there address, or phone number...
And I'm not the only one... The Job Centre don't have this information either.

Yup, when I went to sign today, I asked the nice lady who signed me if she had any idea, she didn't but she went to ask the supervisor, so we went to see him - Unfortunately, even he had no idea and he was as shocked as I was at the lack of communication from them.

Long story short, he put a note on the system about what happened and said if they ring you about not going, just tell them what I told the Job Centre. - I have a feeling its going to come back and bite me in the arse, badly, they can stop any money without going through the Job Centre, but I have done all I can, I went to the only source who might have some idea, and Avanta haven't even told them where there based.

Its there fault, not mine, I have officially done everything I can for information, If it does come back to bite me in the arse like I suspect, then they will have a fight on there hands - I'm sort of looking forward to it :)

I'll update this post too with the outcome of the phone call from them I will no doubt get

Update (5:45pm): No phone call from them, this isn't really a good thing because it looks like they will just do what they do if you don't turn up. I still have the Job Centre on my side, but I might be without money until this whole thing is sorted.

Update (04/07/11): Still no call from them, I have a feeling I am going to be screwed over by them, even though I still have the Job Centre on my side, things could go very wrong.

Friday 17 June 2011

Beaver = Confused, Job Center = Confused... The Blog Post!

So, I signed on today, nothing happened there, just signed the paper after getting an appointment I expected to get - Then the woman signing me (same woman from last dole rant), said she had to send me to the supervisor. Now I expected the worst, and knowing our past history, she sort of told me its nothing to worry about and she will sign me there. Okey, now I'm confused, and its only going to get worse.

So there I was, sat with the supervisor, he was just setting up but he showed me everything, which was cool, then he told me - I am being sent on the brand spanking new Back To Work Program, and its so new, I'm the first in Hartlepool. This is where the Job Centre get confused.

There is no information about these company's who are doing the courses, really, no phone number, no address, just a couple of names who have never worked in the North East before - The one I am being sent to is Avanta (they have to send people 50/50). Nobody knows anything about these company's, not even the supervisors supervisor, who had to come over to help because of what happened a fortnight ago. So the guy told me all he knew, give me all the forms I needed, and I left. I think he was glad I was the first, because he is a good guy and I'll never get pissed with him even when he knows nothing - Because they really don't get told anything, he didn't even know what's happening about the course I was all ready sent to.

I'll keep you updated with what happens, they should be phoning me over the next week where I'll get some more info. Though after a quick google, I found out its TNG - Might as well stop my money now, because TNG is the worst thing that's happened to employment since Maggy Thatcher! Ugh!

Bloody Job Centre (Updated 08/06)

Yeah, so, I signed on today - It didn't go well.

First Thing - She called me Tony - NEVER call me Tony. From that 1 thing, I could tell it wasn't going to end well

Second thing - They changed my signing time from 3:40pm to 9:30am because there are too many people signing at that time.... The place was empty when I was there, and when it is usually packed, hardly anyone is there to sign.

Third Thing - She had a go at me for not putting names down of people I speak to when asking around if there are any jobs, she didn't seem to get the fact that I very much doubt the person I spoke to would remember a random person asking if they have any jobs.

Fourth Thing - For the first time ever they decided to do a job search, normally they have to tilt the screen so you can see it, but she didn't, so I had to move, good job I did, when she was filling in the search criteria, she selected Part-Time and Temporary, so I told her I cant do that because I would be worse off each week - She didn't like this one bit and decided to have a go at me for it.

Fifth Thing - She referred me over to a supervisor type person for 4:30pm, yeah, I had to wait around in town for 45 minutes

So that's how it started, when I saw the supervisor, he noticed a few things:
Firstly my agreement was 2 years old - My advisor should have done a new one of these with me on the first appointment with her. Secondly, I hadn't had a 'Better-Off Calculation' done, which would have prevented this whole thing - Basicly, he said I had been let down by everyone - He actually said that.

So, I had to fill in the standard form, basicly copied my diary which even he said was enough, but then we did what they call a 'Disputed Jobsearch Agreement' its 2 agreements, one that I dictate and one that the Job Centre create, these both go to someone higher up who makes a decision on what should be there, a compromise.

There is a side effect to the disputed agreement, the job centre cant tell me what to do, they can't complain if I haven't done any job search because there is no Agreement in place, I have 3 weeks or so breathing space, which I fully intend to exploit for experimental purpose.

Hopefully I will be paid on Wednesday, I have a bet on with the supervisor I spoke to for a bottle of Mountain Dew - I say I wont be paid (on either Wednesday or Thursday, since they wont see anything till Monday), he says there shouldn't be any problems and it should go through as normal or a day late.

Update (08/06): I was paid as normal - There's a shock

Blogging... Or lack of...

Been a while since the last post here, couple of reasons for that.

1) Been gaming a lot, flicking between a few different games - Portal 2 (PC), L.A.Noire (Not been out for long) and City of Heroes (Of Course!)

2) I have been working a lot behind the scenes of Pure Boredom's parent company, Syphernet.com. I really want to re-launch it

3) Decorating the Living Room - See Twitter lol

I should get back to some sort of blogging at some point next month - I have one I want to post, even if its a bit belated.

Shitty Course Part 2 of 2

This post isn't going to be as a long winded rant as I though it was going to be, because, well, the course wasn't as bad as I though it was going to be - And that's saying something... So, I'm basically going to go back through the steps in the 1st part of this 2 part epic and might add a little to the end.

Step 1 - Power Point Presentation
There wasn't one, no power point was to be seen. There was a flip chart, but that was mostly used to illustrate things, nothing like I expected in that regard

Step 1.5 - Health and Safety
It was done because it had to be, took all of 5 minutes

Step 2 - CV
We where offered an hour tomorrow to create a new CV, completely optional. But we did go through what makes a good CV - And you know what, this advice was GOOD advice, I am actually going to put some of it into action for my CV

Step 3 - Application Forms
We did go through application forms, but we didn't fill one in (though we could have if we wanted while listening) and again, some good tips. Most other courses say something along the lines of "The sooner you get it back, the sooner you may get the job", but there advice was along the lines of "Take your time, if you have 2 weeks, take a week or just over, don't rush it, you want to make a better impression and taking your time can help that" - That's good, that's some bloody good advice.

Step 4 - Team Building
We sort of did this, but it was to explain first impressions and was 1 10minute exercise - No Complaints.

Step 5 - Job Search
Did none, there wasn't the facilities to do it

Other Step - Interview Technique
The guy taking the 'class' went through tips for interviews, not just one to one interviews, all types of interview and most of it I will take into any interview I have.

So that was the course I was on, it really wasn't as bad as the others I have been on, they condensed 2 weeks into 1 day and I came out more knowledgeable than I did on any other course - In fact, I am going to name the course provider, if they ever find this and read it, I hope they take the previous post as a First Impression and this post as a Well Deserved Complement. Its an Australian company called Pertemps, I have no complaints.

Shitty Course Part 1 of 2

As you may or may not know, I'm unemployed, have been for a while. Not due to lack of trying, I apply for just about anything (there is a few things I cant do, either because of qualifications or 'health' reasons [for lack of a better word]).

Every once in a while, the Job Centre will send you on a course, to help you get back to work - These courses either consist of a work placement, doing a company's shit work for free or a course to help you find a job, doing a CV, application forms etc - This is the course I'm being sent on tomorrow.

Luckily, its only for one day, that's what I've been told anyway and I can tell what's going to happen even before I get there.

Step 1 - Power Point Presentation
They all have them, usually has the H&S stuff (see Step 1.5) but more often than not, its about what they do, how many people they have helped get a job, normally exaggerate, because they sometimes offer people part time/ad-hoc work, and they count these people. There tooting there own horn basically.

Step 1.5 - Health and Safety
All there H&S Shit, where the exits are and stuff like that... Meh, it has to be done

Step 2 - CV
They all ready phoned asking if I have a CV, which I do, but I know they are going to want me to make a new one, or they are going to make a new one for me. I'm not going to let them touch it, they can give me tips on what to add, but there not making a completely new one from scratch, every time I go to one of these courses, they make me a whole new CV, totally different from the last and it really annoys me. Infact, it could be that what is stopping me from getting a job...

Step 3 - Application Forms
The person taking the 'class' will then talk about application forms, how to fill them in, then probably give us all a mock application, then tell us all its wrong. Yeah, its not like we haven't all filled in an application before, though most places do online applications these days, so this exercise is a bit pointless.

Step 4 - Team Building
This is the bit about these courses that pisses me off the most, not because of the team building, I don't mind working in a team. Its the exercises they have us doing, this is where they treat you like a child! There all different, I've done posters about health eating, posters about bus and train times, posters about the job market, collages[correct spelling?] about random shit, I have even been told that one place had the people decorating eggs... What the fuck? Do they use Key Stage 2 books or something?

Step 5 - Job Search
Argh! This pisses me off too, not as much as the team building, but there is only so many times you can search the same websites, read the same news papers and flick through the yellow pages. I have been on a 14 week course where all it was, was job search, 9am to 4pm reading the same newspapers, looking at the same websites and flicking through the yellow pages. Honestly, once or twice a week, for a couple of hours is enough for 'focused' job search (there words, not mine)

Lucky, this course is only 1 days, or that's what I have been told, with a 10am start - Wish me luck

Yes AV or No AV, That is the Question

If your in the UK,  you will know what I'm talking about, if your not in the UK, then I'm talking about the Alternative Vote, or AV for short. Tomorrow (5th May 2011), ever voter in the UK gets to choose whether we change a centuries old voting method aka First Past The Post.
And its really fecking confusing!

Not AV itself, that's easy to understand, its what should I vote for, that's what this post is for, sort of.

First we have, The First Past The Post voting system, the system that we have used for hundreds, if not thousands of years and has worked for just as long. Now, it has its problems, just look at the last General Election in the UK, hung parliament, David 'Call me Dave' Cameron and his Tories managed to get in with Nick 'LapDog' Clegg and his Liberal Democrat propping up there votes. All that because no one got enough votes.
With that example, the Lib Dems held all the cards, they could have chosen to go with Labour and we would have a totally different government that we have now, but they didn't.

Next we have AV (If you want to know what AV is, click this big link), AV is only used in 3 countries, with Australia being the biggest using it. AV does sound like a good system, it will make the parties fight more for there seats and create less safe seats (Hartlepool is a safe Labour seat for example) but even this has its bad points, bad points that the No campaign are using and are fair points if you think deep into it, but the Yes campaign also has very good points. Oh and the Yes campaign has some of my favourite comedians behind it, Stephen Fry and Eddy Izzard.

So what are these arguments? What is good about Voting Yes and what's bad about Voting Yes, and same with No?

Alternative Vote:
The Good: Party's will have to fight for there seats and have less room for lies and changing there policies.
The Bad: The BNP could get a seat or 2 very easily, and this isn't a good thing.

First Past The Post:
The Good: It has worked for thousands of years and 99.9% of other democracy's use it.
The Bad: Just look at the state of the UK since the ConDems got into power at the last General Election

I want to vote Yes, but part of me knows that even if I do, No will win. People don't like change, most voters read the Daily Mail and Daily Mail readers are idiots.

Yeah, sorry if this makes no sense, but when has politics ever made sense :P

It only took 5 Years...

But I finally got EBeaver, my Energy/Kinetic Villain on City of Heroes to level 50!

The majority of that 5 years was solo, which is my own fault but also because of the server population. Defiant Red Side isn't really that populated, but I put that no invite flag on too so its my fault lol.

But yeah, finally got a Villain to 50, and my 2nd ever 50 in 6 years of playing CoH. Next up would be my Peacebringer, which has been stuck at 36 for about 3 years, but my Peacebringer sucks, so might level my Controller from 22 - Who Knows =P

On a side note, I'm going to write a post about the PSN thing, should be this week after the free stuff has been announced.

I Stopped a Brake-In....

Holy fuck, I really did! So let me set the scene *waive lines to.. last night*

So there I was, about 2am on the 22nd April 2011, taking the dog for a walk, like I do every night - Now, I have seen some things in the 4 years I have done this, mostly involving drunk people. This time... This time was no exception.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see some guy in the drive way of the house at the end of the street, silly in itself, they have a CCTV camera (don't know if its real or it works or not tbh), at the time all I'm thinking is "I didn't know he went out" thinking its the guy who lives there. But then he walks out the front and starts walking.... To the next house.

So he gets to the gates to the garage of the house next door, stops, looks and climes over and starts to go towards there back yard - Well, I'm having none of this in MY street, so I shout over to him, and thus the story really begins.

Avoiding the Royal Wedding

We all know what's happening on the 29th of April and if you don't, you are the lucky ones!

That's right, Prince William and Kate Middleton are getting married and its going to be all over the TV between now and the big day. What? It all ready is? Fucksocks!

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all in favour of the Royal Family, but I really, really cant be arsed with this wedding, I can't be arsed with weddings most times, thinking about it, I think the only one I have been to is my dad's 2nd marriage when I was a nipper, where I was usher, or meant to be, photographer wanted me in the shots with dad and best man, because, well, I'm his first born lol.
Long story short, I hate weddings.

So how the hell can you avoid what is likely the biggest event in the world this year?

Idea 1) Play Games All Day
Idea 2) Watch Films/TV Box Sets All Day
Idea 3) Leave the Country
Idea 4) SLEEP ALL DAY! (and night)
Idea 5) Stream Something (I have an idea all ready :P)

Yeah, could do anything, as long as its not watching TV or Leaving the House lol.

Forgetting The Past... Follow up

So, last night I couldn't sleep, though I did manage 9 hours or so about 6am. While I was sat at the computer trying to tire myself out, I decided to write an email to the people mentioned in the last post.

Now, I haven't sent this email and to be honest, I don't think I ever will, its just been too long and they have most likely forgotten about me. Well, I might send it, but if I do, I'll probably be drunk when I do (I only really drink once or twice a month if you don't know).

Okey, so, below is the email I wrote at about 4am. Some things have been changed, you can tell what because there in [ ] thingys [like this] and there changed to protect privacy.

Forgetting the Past...

For about 3 Years, I was on Second Life and I had the time of my life!
Honest Truth Time - There was times I wished I was sucked into it just like in .hack//SIGN. I really liked being there and it was because of a group of people I met there, a group of people I never want to forget.

But now its been over a year since I left and only 4 people know the real reason I left, everyone else thought it was because of Real Life getting in the way, but the real reason is, I started to loose touch with them. Loose touch as in, the group had to cater to the majority and the majority where women... I was the only guy in this group.

As what would have been my 5 year anniversary passes and close to 18 months since I left, I'm starting to think I should move on from the thoughts of what was a second family, but I feel I would be betraying the memory of the good times we had - which out weighed the bad times 10/1.
But there is conflict. My heart tells me it wants to think about them, and it wants me to log in to see them, but my head tells me its a bad idea, they have moved on and forgotten about you, its time you did the same. Not only that, my heart knows when the best times would be and keeps telling me, it can get annoying at times.

There is something that doesn't help matters, but I'm really not sure if it was serious or not, I was told to keep in touch, I know I haven't and I know I should have, but just turning up after a year away - What would the welcome be? And could I do what I really wanted to, go back to how it was?

*takes a deep breath* I'm shaking while writing this post, actually seeing the options written in front of me written by my own hands brings home how serious this is to me, you may call me sad for this, and that is your right - But these people changed my life, its something that should never be forgotten, but sometimes, letting go is the right thing to do.

This Hurts =(

Update: The date I left was 15th January 2010, I wasn't sure of the date but I knew it was around then .

Ideas Ideas Ideas

I have an idea, the idea won't cost a penny, sort of, less than £10.
Its a video idea, a machinima series, a machinima series made in City of Heroes.

I've been sat on this idea for about 6 months, mostly knowing that I don't have the skills with the /demorecord feature in City of Heroes to make something as complex as a series, that, and I only have access to one account and I would need 3, unless I recorded all parts separate in one account and put it all together by manually editing the demo file.

There is a small script for a Pilot Episode, sort of an introduction to the characters. When I say short, I mean about 3 pages, with room to expand slightly, Its written as a learning tool, doing the demo record and demo editing and doing the voice over recording and syncing.

I don't know, at some point this week, I could record something tiny, just to prove to myself that if I put my mind to it, I can do what's needed to make this. But I need to level another character to at least 20, because Twisted Fire is the Marathon Character again this year hehe

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 7: Wish List

Just because I have my 3DS now, doesnt mean that I'm going to shut up about it.

Yeah, ok, this is the last post with this title, and the last post is very random. Its a wish list of the 3DS games I want (from what's been announced)

So without further dilly dally (does anyone use that anymore..?) here be the list

Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions

Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater (MGS3)

Starfox 64 3D (Lylat Wars 3D?)
Mario 3DS (The Mario Game that was announced at GDC)

And that's just what's been announced up to about July, this is going to be expensive hehe

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 6: 3DS Gets!

Ah Yeah! I Gots the Nintendo 3DS, and not with 2 games... But 3!!

Gamestation price matched the console and had an offer on some games, so I got a 3rd and stayed within the £300 budget for it, how epic!

So heres what I got:
Cosmic Black Nintendo 3DS Console
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
Pilot Wings Resort
Ridge Racer 3D
£298

Hellz Yeah! Now excuse me while I play some more :P

Wednesday 23 March 2011

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 5: Midnight Launch Update

As I was on the phone to Ed, arranging the midnight launch of the 3DS, Gamestation phone me and leave a voicemail....

They are not opening for the Midnight Launch of the 3DS anymore :( But they are opening at 8am on friday for me to pick it up.

Im really not happy, I was so looking forward to it, walking into the shop at 12:01am on Friday and walking out with the 3DS.

Bah! Looks like I'm staying up all night on Thursday/Friday

Tuesday 22 March 2011

I'm bored before I sleep (make sense of that one hehe), and currently pondering all the upcoming stuff over the next couple of weeks or whatever I think of while writing this.

So this is a list of Random Dates of stuff thats gonna happen over the next whenever:

  • Friday 25th March: Nintendo 3DS Day - DONE

Sunday 20 March 2011

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 4: Midnight Launch & Fund Update

So, I got a phone call today, twas Gamestation, informing me they are doing the Midnight Launch of the 3DS, this coming on the day I hit the £300 mark - Its all coming together nicely =D

Well, Gamestation is opening at 11.30pm on Thursday 24th, going to find out if Ed will come down with me and possibly record it for Pure Boredom.
That's the only thing that's left to sort really, unless you count the backup £20, which I'm borrowing off my mum, because I very much doubt I need it, for you see:
£235+£35+£35-£16=£289
I have more than enough

Ah Yeah!

Monday 7 March 2011

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 3: Fund Update

Just posting to say the Nintendo 3DS fund has hit £100! Woooo!

I'm guestimating it will hit £150 on the 16th than its just a case of pulling £170 from the savings account to hit the total of £320! (£20 extra to be on the safe side, because Gamestation still have no game pricing in store...).

Also still have no definitive answer to if the Hartlepool store is doing a Midnight launch, I'll ask next time I'm in town, but still planning on going if they are and recording it.

That's all, sorry to waste you time lol

Wednesday 2 March 2011

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 2: Pre Order

So, I have pre-ordered the Nintendo 3DS. Decided to get it from Gamestation after considering all factors.

So, what did I order?
Black Nintendo 3DS
Street Fighter 3D
Pilot Wings Resort

Grand Total... Just under £300... I must be stupid!

But!! Its going to be worth it! Gamestation had one to demo for people thinking about pre-ordering it, So I had a go... It really works, I could see the 3D perfectly, much better than the Sky 3D demo that is in town, I couldn't see any 3D on that, but the 3DS I could without trying.

One down side though, the Gamestation website has Hartlepool as opening at Midnight for release, I asked in store and they haven't heard anything from Head Office about it, they would also have to pay the shopping centre for security cover for the opening, but they said they would contact me if they are opening, either way, I will have a Nintendo 3DS in my hand on Friday 25th March 2011!

Monday 28 February 2011

DancingBeaver and the Nintendo 3DS Part 1: Planning

So, I have decided to get a Nintendo 3DS at launch, and I mean, at launch, like 12:01am on Friday 25th March 2011.

Now, I know its going to cost me about £230 for the Console and Street Fighter, that is sorted, its will I get it at 12:01am on Friday 25th March. There are 5 places in Hartlepool I can get it, and I have decided to write a brake down of the pro's and cons of each place.
I'm doing them alphabetical, its not a favouritism type thing.

Wednesday 23 February 2011

If I had my own place...

There are some advantages you have when living with your mum, aunt and sister, your internet and TV are paid for, all the utilities are paid for, does your washing and food. You don't have much to do really.

But there are disadvantages, or at least there is for me. I cant record or stream without them asking what the hell im doing, or being told your a "freak" (thats my sister saying that) because your talking into a camera for it to be uploaded to the internet.

That is the biggest disadvantage for me - Because I like making videos, I liked streaming what I could during the marathon (which is hopefully coming back for the next Real World Hero event, only better). If it wasn't for living with the family, I would have a lot more videos out there than I do now.

Which leads me to the title, If I had my own place. I could record when I want, have a lot more space for a more professional set up (lights, green screen, whatever). But I cant afford it, Electricity and Gas bills are through the roof right now, so is Council Tax, Mortgages are going up so Rent has to go up to cover that. Internet and TV would be about £60/month just because I would miss the speed and all the channels and there is the phone bill at £50/month.

So it would be very nice if I had my own place, but bloody hell it would cost a fortune.

Monday 21 February 2011

VLog 21-2-11 - Gaming Pick-ups

Now, I know I have listed everything gaming I have gotten since Christmas on here, but, I decided to do a video for it all.

Was aiming for quick... Ended up going on for just under 30minutes... hehe
So Yeah... Enjoy =)

Playstation 2 Gets

Woo! I have a working Playstation 2, I say working because this one reads disks and the one that I bought new wont (it has been repaired twice)!

I can now finally work on finishing Metal Gear Solid 3, Silent Hill 3 and MGS2 Substance Disk - So Happy!

Saturday 12 February 2011

Master System 1 Gets

The Master System turned up today, about 8.30am to be precise. Hopefully the Playstation 2 will turn up beginning of next week, and i'll get a pick-up video together of everything gaming I got since Christmas, and it is a bit hehe

P.S. I have also added my Playstation 2 Games to the Collection List

Thursday 10 February 2011

Just a couple of Games

Just adding a couple of games to the collection.

Mortal Kombat 3 for Mega Drive, Box and Manual - £8
Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem for Game Cube, a game I [stupidly] sold a few years ago - £5

That is all =)

Monday 7 February 2011

Oops, Gameage Gets

I have more money than sense, but I also got a barging. But, ya know what, I'm happy right now, really happy right now. I've updated the list with these but there so good (hardware at least) that I have to list them in its own post =D

So, here is what I picked up today:
A Philips Videopac G7000 or Magnavox Odyssey 2 as it is known in the US and 2 games and [Massive] Poster.
Another Mega Drive 1... With Mega CD 1! with 5 games.
I also picked up a second Dreamcast pad
And a Mega Drive and PS1 game from a charity shop a friend works at for £1 each

I paid £79 for the consoles and games, and considering Mega CD 1's can go for £60+ not including postage, I'm a very happy Beaver =P

Friday 4 February 2011

Netbook Gets

So, I finally got myself a netbook. Why a netbook? Because I don't exactly need a laptop, and if I do need a laptop for anything, I can borrow my mums.

The main reason I got the netbook, is so I can lay on the bed with it, or take it out with me if we do any filming, easy access to the script, easy to make it bigger if its a really long bit of dialogue and somewhere to put the footage if the SD card gets full.

Its a lot handier having a 10.1" netbook hanging around than dragging a 15" laptop anywhere with you.
Just a shame my laptop bag is for a 17" laptop lol

5 Things I would Rather do than Play Final Fantasy XIII

Right, So, Of all the list of games I have to finish, Final Fantasy XIII is probably the easiest, but that's because the game play is so boring!

So I'm sat here, wanting to play, and there is genuinely 5 things that I would rather do than play Final Fantasy XIII

Number 5: Wash the Dishes
This does need doing, not many of them though

Number 4: Clean the Kitchen Floor
Again, another thing that actually needs doing lol

Number 3: Vacuum the Carpet
This, I don't need to do at all and I try to get out of it as much as possible, but hell, I would rather do that than play Final Fantasy XIII

Number 2: Play Shaq Fu
No, Really, at least that is laughingly bad and not boringly bad

Number 1: Write this blog post
Yeah, write a silly blog post is something I would rather do than play Final Fantasy XIII, funny is that :)

Sunday 16 January 2011

Sunday Delivery?

Erm... Yeah... So Goldeneye and Mario Allstars turned up today, on a Sunday... 1st ever Sunday delivery... I'm Shocked and that is all...

Saturday 15 January 2011

FUCK YOU GAME! FUCK YOU ROYAL MAIL!

Yeah, So, Iv been waiting almost 2 weeks for 2 games from GAME to be delivered, £70 worth of games. GAME guarantee delivery within 2-3 days for free (which I stupidly chose) - But, 2 weeks later, THERE STILL NOT HERE!

Now, you could argue that Christmas and the snow has backed a load up, but how come Scott Pilgrim came a day before I expected it and when it was ordered just after the games? Yeah, Exactly.

But, not only that, I won a copy of The Legend of Zelda on the NES on Tuesday (box, manual AND MAP!), that was sent first class recorded (1-2 days delivery), and that hasn't came either, admittedly, that could come on Monday and I would be happy (and leave good feedback), but with a massive company like GAME, you would think it would take less than 2 weeks for a package to arrive!

It really is a piss take, I can't even do anything about it till 15 days after the dispatch date, and even then, thats a Saturday, so it would have to wait till the Monday...

I really am pissed off with GAME and Royal Mail. Never ordering from GAME again, but have no choice but to use Royal Mail for deliverys.

So I sign off with this - FUCK YOU GAME and FUCK YOU ROYAL MAIL!

Tuesday 11 January 2011

More Burnt Out?

Here's a little secret for you... I haven't had a shower in over a week, and I haven't had a bath in about 15 years (because showers are better) - Why haven't I had a shower? No Hot Water....

Our boiler is completely fucked, something called the 'Heat Exchange' has died, which isn't sending heat to the water and it will cost about £600 to fix. SCREW THAT!!
Get a new boiler for about £2000 =P

The one we have now, it about 12 years old, so its had a good run, but the only problem is, the boiler guy has too much work on this week, if it was last week, could have got it fitted ASAP, but got too much work on, and a couple of his engineers are out on the Gas Safety Course (which needs renewing every 5 years).

Which begs the question, why is this filed under "Rants?" - Its because I can't have a bloody shower till its sorted, unless its a very cold shower, gonna have to wash after boiling the kettle...

Well, on the plus side, the new boiler will have gadgets hehe

Burnt Out

So, today, I came to a conclusion, I'm just about burnt out with City of Heroes, Its a bloody good game, but really, a brake from it would be a good thing.

This brings me to my next thing, I want to try Cataclysm, the new World of Warcraft expansion, but just until I get the spark back for CoH. I all ready have a Level 80 Warlock, and always wanted a Gnome Priest, so its not as if its a waste of money, and I have a friend who is also going back.

Its possible, I would get the spark back for CoH fast, Its happened before, spend a month or 2 in WoW then thought "This is horrible, its all about the End Game and not the journey, give me Paragon City any day", so started drifting back to there and eventually let my WoW subby stop, CoH was always going though, and will be during this brake (re-new on 21st Jan and runs for 3 months).

So yeah, think I'll pop back to WoW for a little bit, as I was writing this, a friend on Twitter from CoH even said that a brake is a good thing.

Cya on the other side lol

Too Much Money...

For Christmas, I got some money, a lot of money (for me anyway), including the computer, I've spend over half of it, not including the computer, I think I'm up to just over £200.

So, for shits and giggles, here is a list of stuff I have bought with my Christmas Money.

Computer Parts - £519.75 (including postage)
Goldeneye 007 Limited Edition (Wii) - £44.99 using reward points (£49.99 full price)
Super Mario All Stars 25th Anniversary (Wii) - £19.99
Scott Pilgrim vs The World Limited Edition Steel Tin (Blu-Ray) - £17.99
10 Plug Surge Protector - £29.99
1m HDMI Cable - £12.99
Donation to the Real World Hero Charity's - £40 (£10 each)
3 Pints on my Mum and Aunts Birthday - About £8
Nice bit of Weed - £30
Dringage for New Years - About £20

That's it, latterly everything I have bought since I got my Christmas money/present on the 29th December, I do have one or 2 more things I want, like a 250gb Xbox Hard Drive (Between £50 and £80 New) to replace my 20gb drive and a bigger Memory Stick Duo for my PSP (About £25 for 4gb). I also want a Netbook, but cant justify spending £200 on one for myself when I can borrow the Laptop... A new set of Headphones or a Headset would be nice too.

New Years Resolution - 1st post of the year

First off - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A Few years ago, I said I wouldn't make another New Years Resolution, but this year, I'm braking that and actually making one or two.

Resolution, The First:
Write More

I have all these ideas in my head, but never really write them down, or get a chance too and forget them, so I got to start writing things down and [principle] scripting them, even if they cant be made....yet.

Resolution, The Second:
Finish More Games

Yeah, gotta shrink my "to finish" list, alot.

Resolution, The Third:
Get EBeaver to Level 50 on City of Heroes

3 Years he has been stuck in limbo, currently at 47 I Must get him to 50.

Resolution, The Fourth:
Get DBeaverSP to 50

Yeah, gotta get my Peacebringer to Level 50 too.

Resolution, The Fifth:
Get a Job

Not through lack of trying, I really need a job.

Thats it, 5 resolutions that I hope I keep, yeah... lol
